Free basic health checks and microchipping at Alexandra Recreaton Ground. No appointments neccessary.
In July 2019 London becomes the first National Park City. As part of the launch, we invite you to us at our Parklife Celebration Weekend in Alexandra Recreation Ground.
Poetry in the Park …..…Friday 26th July 7pm to 9pm
An evening of poetry with Penge Poets. Light refreshments will be served. Local poets are invited to read their own poetry. Details of a how to submit your poem are on our social media pages.
Physicality in the Park..Sunday 28th July 10am to 12pm
A number of free taster classes including yoga, hula-hooping, walking football & silly sports for the under 10s. Open to all but we’d like to encourage our over 60’s & under 18’s to join us in particular!
Music in the Park……...Sunday 28th July 2pm to 5pm
Our traditional summer event with The Beckenham Concert Band, the friends will have a Tea & cake & Pimms stall . All are welcome to bring a picnic, friends and enjoy a relaxing afternoon! This year we will also be funding a free community picnic for Penge’s Older Peoples’ Network.
Paws in the Park 2019 Sunday 8th September 1pm to 5.30pm - Cator Park
This years Family Dog Show is a fun-packed afternoon for everyone. Competitons for our furry friends include Best Groomed, Doggy Most Like Its Owner and Best Junior Handler. Entry is just £1 per category and there will be prizes for the winners. There will be Craft Beer, Pimms and Food Stalls for the Jumans plus chairty & pet service stalls for our furry friends. Plus Face Painting, Hoopla and Pin the Tail on the Dog games, TYemptation alley, Sand Art & Pet Photo Shoot and more! Even if you do not own a dog you will find a lot to enjoy.
